Hamming it up

3 year check-up

Today was Max and Sigge's check-up, the one you have when you have turned three. Things were going smoothly, height and weight registered, discussion about photo cards where she asked questions that they answered, etc.... Until we got to the food habits portion of the exam. She asked Max and Sigge what they eat for dinner. Sigge said "ice cream". Max said "sugar". Sigge "candy". There was no stopping them, and we laughed nervously and tried to reassure her that it wasn't true. Kids say the darndest things!

Part II - Astrid Lindgren's world

The great adventure - part I

When Pappa was in NYC, the boys and I decided to head down to the farm. We walked, took the bus, rode elevators, took the subway, took the train, and then rode in morfar's car the last bit, and just 6 short hours after leaving our house with backpacks and snacks, we arrived at the farm to a warm dinner made by mormor. More to come...

Sigge time

Last weekend we had some quality Max time, and this weekend it was time to send Max off to farmor and farfar so that we could have some Sigge time! We had such a great day, train/bus museum and then Japanese restaurant for dinner. Hard to explain the joy in Sigge's eyes when we got to ride a tiny train (called Mini train) and it rode into a tunnel.
